Safety is our priority in all of our adventures and activities.

Ingo Hentschel and Connie Gottselig, owners and operators of Wild By Nature Adventures, are highly skilled, trained and certified in outdoor living and adventure skills, and in the safety considerations, emergency response, rescues, and evacuation procedures appropriate to each outdoor skill-set/activity they teach and guide.

– Wild By Nature Adventures has a great safety record.
– Risk and hazard assessment, mitigation and emergency response plans are designed and in place for each activity/program.
– All participants in guided activities or outdoor education programs receive training/instruction in proper preparation, safety considerations, and rescues relevant to their planned outdoor experience.
– An ‘In Reach’ emergency satellite communicator, which guarantees immediate worldwide connection with emergency response personnel, is with WBNA guides/instructors during every activity/event.
– Wild By Nature Adventures carries 2 million per occurrence liability insurance.

First Aid Training:
– Both Connie and Ingo are currently certified in St John’s Standard First Aid and CPR, and ‘Adventure Medic’ Advanced Wilderness First Aid.
– Ingo is a former Ski Patrol and a former Emergency Medical Technician – Wilderness, and helped to teach EMT(W) courses at the University of Alberta.
– Connie is an interim instructor for St John’s Standard First Aid and CPR, and is trained in Aquatic Emergency Care as a fully certified National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Lifeguard, through the Royal Life Saving Society of Canada.
